John 1:1-3 (ESV)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him was not any thing made that was made.
Pastor's Note:
I love all Scripture but I especially love the opening verses in the Gospel of John. He introduces us to Jesus as the Word, the logos! He is the Living Word that has existed from the beginning and all things were made through Him. Jesus is the eternal Living God, the second person of the Holy Trinity and nothing was made without Him. Here we see Him in creation and in Revelation 1:8 He says: “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” This is the Lord we serve. He is the beginning and the end! How fortunate it is to be called a child of God!
