Philippians 2:5-8Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
Pastor's Note: The natural man is swelled with pride. He concerns himself with only himself. But the man that has been saved by grace finds that he is not the center of the universe. He is the recipient of grace from the Maker of the universe! Therefore, the swell of pride should diminish. Christ, Himself, has given the ultimate example of humility for us to follow. God stepped off His throne and veiled Himself in human flesh, lived life experiencing everything we experience, yet sinned not. So humble, that He even endured death upon a cross. He died so that we could live! That is humility and it stands as our greatest example of how we should live our Christian life. Have a wonderful day doing justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with your God (Micah 6:8). Praying for you always. Have a Blessed Day! Pastor Jamie |
