Revelation 21:1-3Notes from the Pastor's Desk #notesfromthepastorsdesk
📖Revelation 21:1-3 (ESV) Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. 📘Pastor's Note: Tonight, we are studying the eternal state. At the culmination of all things, when this life is over, those who have graciously been saved by our Lord will spend all eternity with our God in heaven. Can you imagine a time that will last forever, when we are in the presence of our King? A time where there is no more sin, pain, sorrow, or tears. A time when death will be no more because it has been cast into the depths of hell. All that remains is us with our Lord in the place He has prepared for us, worshiping and serving Him in complete joy without the weight of worry or the decay of the world. The word that comes to my mind is excitement. What an exciting reality our faith hopes for—blissful excitement! Are you excited? Though we may experience trials, tribulations, and other difficulties in this life, we have a glorious hope in the One who died for us and rose from the grave, assuring us that when this life ends, eternity begins with Him. So, if you are going through a struggle right now, let this reality of your faith refresh your soul. We have hope! 🙏I'm praying for you always. ❤️ Pastor Jamie Read the Chapter: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation%2021&version=ESV Learn More About Us: www.mygpchurch.com/whoweare #notesfromthepastorsdesk #thegpchurch #Truth #seek #study #serve #mygpchurch |
